Day 1:


Depart for South Africa on an overnight flight to arrive the next morning. If this is not convenient or you can get a better deal, if you book an earlier flight, then please let us know and we will plan accordingly.


Day 2:


Your guide will meet you upon your morning arrival in Johannesburg at O R Tambo International Airport. From here we depart for a short township tour of Soweto for a glimpse of neighbourhood life and to reflect on the apartheid history of South Africa. This vibrant city is home to a host of interesting attractions, such as the Twin Towers and Freedom Square, as well as Vilakazi Street which is the only street in the world where two Nobel Peace Prize recipients resided namely Archbishop Desmond Tutu and the great Nelson Mandela. Included in this tour is a visit to the Nelson Mandela “Matchbox” House Museum and then the Apartheid Museum. You might like to get a bite to eat at the Truth Café found at the museum complex. Afternoon check-in at a charming lodge found on the East Rand. Enjoy a welcome dinner this evening with fellow travellers and your local accredited guide who will also be the tour manager.

Day 3:


Breakfast and a leisurely morning, before your tee-off at the challenging Serengeti Golf Club, which has hosted several South African Open Championships. The course was opened by the iconic golfer and course designer, Jack Nicklaus. This Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course joins an elite group of 300 courses worldwide that carries the Nicklaus name. Overnight in Johannesburg.

Day 4:


Depart after breakfast for the Kruger National Park and the province of Mpumalanga meaning the “pulling of the sun” or “the land where the sun rises”, also known as “Paradise Country”. Travel along the Maputo Corridor and down the breathtaking Elands River Valley, as well as the Crocodile River Valley. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and an afternoon open vehicle safari, which includes "sundowners" in the bush. All meals over the next couple of days will be served at the lodge. Overnight in Kruger.

Day 5:


Start your day with an exciting early morning open vehicle game drive. Return to the lodge for breakfast where you then have some time to relax, before we transfer you to the Gary Player designed Leopard Creek Country Club for your afternoon tee-off. This world famous golf course was founded on the merits of friendship, a common passion for the game of golf and a shared respect for nature. Drawing from the intricate wealth of nature, Leopard Creek was designed to become an unobtrusive part of the environment, so much so that it has blended, restored and even enhanced the local habitat. Return to your lodge before sunset.

Day 6:


A day of choices:


You can either spend the day at the lodge. Where you could go out on another early morning game drive or just spend your time relaxing at the lodge. Lukimbi is a place where you can make yourself feel completely at home, be that in the lounge, the bar, the library or at one of the relaxation alcoves on the multi-leveled pool deck overlooking the Lwakahle River.


Or


For the brave! Play a round of golf at Skukuza Golf Course. After an early breakfast we depart for Skukuza Golf Course for your late morning tee-off at this 9 hole / 18 tee box thriller. This not the best designed or the most picturesque or well manicured course in South Africa. However, it will be the most unique golf course you will ever play in your life, as this is the only course in the world that is found within a “Big 5” national park. The “Big 5” animals are the lion, leopard, African buffalo, rhino and elephant.


You can once again this afternoon enjoy a sunset open vehicle safari in this pristine wilderness region of the Kruger National Park. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Kruger.

Day 7:


After breakfast we depart Kruger. Travel via the “Panorama Route” of the majestic Transvaal Drakensberg Mountains to the picturesque village of Dullstroom. On route we’ll visit the imposing Three Rondavels and admire the stunning scenery of the Blyde River Canyon which is one of the deepest in the world. We also pay a visit to the spectacular Bourke’s Luck Potholes and God’s Window. Lunch can be had en-route at the original famous Harrie’s Pancakes found in the town of Graskop and dinner can be enjoyed at your lodges’ restaurant. Overnight in the quaint countryside surrounding Dullstroom.

Day 8:


Morning at leisure, before we transfer you down the road to the magnificent Highland Gate Golf Course for your midday tee-off. This course has been rated by many to be one of the best in South Africa. The course is set amongst the hills of the scenic Transvaal Drakensberg Escarpment of Mpumalanga. The layout of this Highland Gate course provides an equal challenge to both club player and the tour professional. After your round of golf, you will have some time to stroll around the charming village of Dullstroom. The main road in town is lined with traditional pubs and restaurants, as well as numerous arts & crafts shops and markets. Evening at leisure. Overnight in the quaint countryside surrounding Dullstroom.

Day 9:


After breakfast, it is off to Sun City, also known as “The place where the sun never sets”. The Soho Hotel & Casino is often referred to as the Main Hotel, as it was the first hotel to be built at the Sun City Resort. This modern and comfortable hotel set among the Pilanesberg Mountains on an extinct volcanic site is located in the heart of the complex with all the rooms facing the world renowned Gary Player Golf Course, as well as the entire valley below and a huge manmade lake. All meals during your stay can be had at your hotel or at any one of several restaurants found at the Sun City complex.

Day 10:


A morning at leisure, before your tee-off at the Gary Player designed Lost City Golf Course. This challenging 18 hole desert-style golf course was built on undulating rocky terrain which allows for many interesting holes, as well as some spectacular views across the bushveld. The course has wide forgiving fairways, very thick rough and several lakes, including a series of lakes that separate the spectacular 9th and finishing hole. Instead of a bunker on the short 13th hole you will find a reptile pit riddled with huge crocodiles. A golf cart and the halfway house is included in this round of golf. You have the rest of the afternoon and evening at leisure.

Day 11:


Morning tee-off at the Gary Player Country Club, which is one of the top courses in South Africa and home to The Nedbank Challenge - Africa’s major. For many years this was the richest golf tournament in the world. Afternoon and evening at leisure to enjoy what Sun City has to offer: Valley of the waves, water sports, horse riding, gambling, cabaret shows, movies and a whole lot more. Overnight at Sun City.

Day 12:


We will transfer you back to Johannesburg after breakfast and a leisurely morning, in order for you to catch your flight home.
