Day 1:

Your guide will meet you on your arrival at Johannesburg’s O R Tambo International Airport. Depart to Pretoria for a city tour that includes the Voortrekker Monument, Church Square and Union Buildings. There will be time for lunch and then shopping for any of those golf “odds and end” at the local “Pro Shop” in Pretoria, before checking-in at our charming little lodge in Kempton Park – Johannesburg. Your welcome dinner will be served as a traditional South African “braai” – barbeque.

Day 2:

Breakfast and a leisurely morning, before you tee-off literally across the road from our lodge at the challenging Serengeti Golf Club, which has hosted the South African Open and was opened by the iconic golfer and course designer, Jack Nicklaus. This Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course joins an elite group of 300 courses worldwide that carries the Nicklaus name. Overnight in Kempton Park – Johannesburg.

Day 3:

Travel to Kruger via the “Panorama Route” of the majestic Drakensberg Mountains, admire the natural beauty of the Blyde River Canyon, which is the third deepest canyon in the world, the Bourke’s Luck Potholes and God’s Window. Lunch along the way. Overnight at Buhala Game Lodge, which is situated on the bank of the Crocodile River on the southern border of the Kruger National Park. Kruger is home to the “Big Five” and a wide variety of other animals and birds that roam freely in their natural habitat.

Day 4:

Start your day with an exciting early morning open vehicle game drive into Kruger with your own personal ranger. Return to the lodge for breakfast and you then have some time to relax, before we transfer you to the Gary Player designed Leopard Creek Country Club for your afternoon tee-off. This world famous golf course was founded on the values of friendship, a common love of the game of golf and a shared reverence for nature. Drawing from the intricate wealth of nature, Leopard Creek is an unobtrusive part of that environment – blending, complementing and enhancing. Return to Buhala before sunset.

Day 5:

Late morning tee-off at Skukuza Golf Course, a unique golfing experience as this is the only golf course found within the world renowned Kruger National Park (KNP). Spend the afternoon in the park. Dinner will be served as a traditional “potjie” – stew prepared by your guide – good luck. Overnight at one of the camps in the southern section of the park.

 Day 6:

Spend the day in the Kruger National Park (KNP) travelling north in search of the “Big 5” and a host of other animals. The KNP is known to be the most diverse park in the world with 140 mammals, 119 reptiles, ± 506 bird, 55 amphibians and ± 1980 plant species. Depart from the park via Phalaborwa Gate. Overnight in Phalaborwa.

Day 7:

A leisurely morning on the estate or you might want to use the time to fine tune your swing with a little practice, before your afternoon tee-off at the Hans Merensky Golf Club, at a stage in its history the course rated in the “Top 10” in South Africa. It is unique, due to the fact that an abundance of wildlife is found on the course. Overnight in Phalaborwa.

Day 8:

Travel to Sun City – “the place where the sun never sets” and also known as “Africa’s kingdom of pleasure”. Some sightseeing and lunch along the way. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Sun City.

Day 9:

Morning at leisure, enjoy what Sun City has to offer – gambling, movies, valley of the waves, water sports, crocodile farm, game drives and a whole lot more. Afternoon tee-off at the Gary Player designed course –  Lost City Golf Club. Instead of a bunker on the short 13th hole you will find a crocodile pit with 13 huge crocodiles. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Sun City.

 Day 10:

Morning tee-off at the Gary Player Country Club, the No 3 course in South Africa and home to the richest tournament in the world – The Nedbank Challenge. Afternoon at leisure. Enjoy a farewell dinner at one of the restaurants in the Sun City complex.

Day 11:

Morning at leisure. Travel to Johannesburg, where there will be time for some last minute shopping before you depart home from O R Tambo International Airport.

Recommended – Cape Town Add-on Tour:

Travel to Johannesburg in order to catch your flight to Cape Town. Your guide will meet you on arrival in Cape Town. Enjoy a city tour of South Africa’s beautiful mother city, this tour includes a visit to the Castle of Good Hope, Parade Ground, City Hall, Houses of Parliament, Tuinhuis and the Dutch East India Company Gardens. Dinner can be enjoyed at one of the numerous excellent restaurants on the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

Day 12:

Take a scenic drive around the “Cape Peninsula”. Visit Hout Bay and the Cape Fur Seal colony on Duiker Island, Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, Cape of Good Hope, Cape Point and the Boulders – Penguins. Lunch at one of the numerous restaurants in Simonstown.

Optional and weather permitting – we take the cableway up Table Mountain. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Cape Town.

Day 13:

Morning at leisure. Afternoon tee-off at Atlantic Beach Golf Club, an excellent and challenging golf course, which is situated across the bay near Bloubergstrand. From here you have a truly classic view of Table Bay, Cape Town and Table Mountain. Overnight in Cape Town.

Day 14:

Morning tee-off at Stellenbosch Golf Club, this course has hosted a number of South African Open Championships. Spend the afternoon in and around the historical town of Stellenbosch, wine tasting and cellar tour at one of the wine estates along the Cape’s world-renowned Stellenbosch Wine Route. Farewell dinner will be served at one of the excellent restaurants found in town. Overnight in Cape Town.

Day 15:

Morning at leisure. Lunch at the V & A Waterfront, time for last minute shopping and weather permitting an optional helicopter flight over the “Cape Peninsula”. Transfer to Cape Town International Airport for your flight home.
