If an African safari is at the top of your to-do list, you’ll find plenty in all of these countries, at places such as Kruger National Park, Chobe National Park, Hluhluwe / Umfolozi Game Reserve, Etosha National Park and Pilanesberg National Park.

The largest of these wildlife reserves is Kruger National Park, which measures 25,000 square kilometers–slightly smaller than the state of Massachusetts! This large reserve is home to the “Big Five,” which are lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards and rhinoceroses, plus thousands of other plants, birds and animals that are native to Africa. Split up into six unique eco-systems, you’ll be able to view all of these creatures in their natural habitats.
