Upon arrival at Johannesburg’s O R Tambo International Airport you will first travel to Soweto – reflex on the “Apartheid” era of South Africa’s history, before travelling on to Muldersdrift on the outskirts of Pretoria. Dinner will be served at the Carnivore Restaurant, which is one of only two of its kind in the world. Travel via Middelburg and Lydenburg to Hazyview situated in the province of Mpumalanga, exploring en route the scenic wonders of the Panorama Route. The cylindrical potholes at Bourke’s Luck, scenic views from God’s Window and breathtaking Blyde River Canyon – third deepest in the world rivaling America’s Grand Canyon. Travel to the world-renowned Kruger National Park. The Kruger National Park is known to be the most diverse national park in the world with 140 mammals, 119 reptiles, ± 506 bird, 55 amphibians and ± 1980 plant species. Enjoy another day on safari in the Kruger National Park in search of the “Big 5” and a host of other animals. Travel to the southern section of the Kruger National Park. Dinner tonight, will be served as a traditional “braai” – barbeque, prepared by your guide. Then travel the shortest route via Swaziland to Sodwana Bay a village nestled on the east coast of South Africa on the shores of the Indian Ocean. Enjoy the next couple of day’s scuba diving various reefs in the warm Indian Ocean off the KwaZulu Natal North Coast. This package includes 5 x scuba dives, air fills or a PADI Open Water Scuba Diving Course or a PADI Advance Scuba Diving Course (upgrades are available on request). On the last day at Sodwana you can enjoy a leisurely morning or take your last scuba dive, before we travel to Bonamanzi Private Game Reserve near Hluhluwe. This afternoon you have an intersting walking safari with the local ranger. The next day we take a cruise / river safari on the St Lucia estuary, a lake riddled with crocodiles and hippos in the Greater St Lucia Wetlands, which is a UNESCO world heritage site. Then enjoy some lunch at one of the numerous restaurants in the little fishing village of St Lucia, before we travel to the Hluhluwe / Umfolozi Game Reserve for an exciting open vehicle safari. In by-gone years this reserve was the hunting grounds of Zulu Kings. On the last day we travel back to Johannesburg the commercial hub of South Africa after an exciting “Scba Diving and Safari´ tour in South Africa. This “Scuba Diving and Safari” tour / package includes accommodation, transport, guide, meals as indicated, 5 x scuba dives, air fills or a PADI Open Water Scuba Diving Course or a PADI Advance Scuba Diving Course, conservation fees and all entrance fees as per itinerary. However, it does exlude your air tickets, passport and visa fees, airport tax, insurance, phone calls, facsimiles, beverages, gratuities, items of a personal nature and excess baggage.
